Help ‘Do Your Bit’ by boosting your immunity with a flu vaccine and covid-19 booster

Health leaders warn of a “twindemic” with the risk of both COVID-19 and flu circulating at high levels, potentially at the same time.

Local residents over the age of 65 and at-risk groups are now being urged to get flu vaccines and their autumn COVID-19 boosters.

There are now over 80 places across mid and south Essex that residents can visit to get vaccinated including lots of local pharmacies, dedicated vaccination sites and local GP practices.

The public can book winter vaccinations through their GP practice.  Alternative options including walk in clinics and ways to book online are available by visiting https://www.midandsouthessex.ics.nhs.uk/health/winter/vaccination/ or call 119.

Non Attendance of Appointments

The practice has to deal with missed appointment every week due to patients not giving us notice that they would not be attending. These "did not attends" (DNAs) are a waste of appointments that could be given to other patients.

Due to the increasing pressures faced by the practice this is not something that we can allow to continue.  We will be monitoring those patients that do not attend on a regular basis. If you miss 3 appointments in a 12 month period, without a valid reason, you may be removed from the practice list and asked to register elsewhere.

For more information click here or the DNA Policy link in the menu to the right.
