The Partners at the practice have made the decision to close our list for the next six months. The practice wants to continue to provide a high standard of care in a safe environment for both patients and clinical staff members.
Book your Flu vaccinations
The practice is now in a position to start booking patients into flu clinics at the surgery.
The flu season is broken down into three elements:
Under 65's - supplier delays for this vaccine, please speak to reception to rebook or book any appointments.
Over 65's - these session can be booked
Children - vaccines will arrive after 7.10.19, parents can then contact the surgery to book appointments as required.
We ask all patients that are eligible to contact the surgery reception to make an appointment for a flu clinic.
The car park during this time will be busy and we ask patients to be respectful towards other car park user during this time.
New service - Extended hours appointments:
From 5 August 2019 the practice will be offering late appointments for Doctors, Prescribing Nurse, Clinical Pharmacist and Nurses. The extended hours will run on a Monday evening, the extended access offered at other surgeries will still be available other days, weekends and bank holidays.

All of these appointments must be pre-booked, it is not a drop in service and no other services will be available to patients, this includes collecting of prescriptions.

New telephone system
All calls will be recorded for training and quality purposes.
Our new telephony system will offer you a menu choice so that you get to the right department the first time. These options are:
Option 1 – Reception to book, cancel or amended an appointment
Option 2 – Administration team – available from 8am – 4pm
Option 3 – Secretaries available 9am-3pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday then 8am -3pm Thursday and Friday
Option 4 – Results – will only be available between 3 – 5pm Monday to Friday. Results will not be given to a third party, unless written consent has been provided to the practice.

The surgery will close from noon but will re-open as normal on the relevant next day. During this time should you need medical support please contact NHS 111.
Pharmacist supporting patients
The practice has employed a Pharmacist Ms S Azad who will be joining the practice from 15 April 2019. She will be supporting patients with medication reviews, management of long term conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma, COPD - our reception will direct patients when they call to this service as appropriate in the future.

Extended Hours Access for patients
Doctor appointments are now available to patients at the weekend at the following locations:
Should you wish to access a weekend appointment please contact our reception staff during normal surgery hours 8am until 6pm, they will provide you with all the necessary information and book the appointment for you.
The surgery will receive information from your consultation which will be followed-up if required.

Fees for Non-core service requests
The NHS does not provide within it's core contract requests from patients for completing insurance forms, Taxi/HGV medicals, letters to schools/college or such other organisations and there will be an associated charge to patients for supplying the information they require.
Please visit our reception staff who can confirm the associated costs of your requests. All requests need to be paid for prior to the work being completed and will be actioned within 10 working days.
