Livewell Campaign

What is the Livewell Campaign?

Nationally, there is a real need to collectively find solutions that contribute towards wellbeing in order to reduce the cost to the NHS on social care and health.  Locally the importance of collaborating on the health and wellbeing agenda and working together with partners to achieve significant outcomes is reinforced through statistics from the Mid Essex health profiles, which show, in the Braintree District, there are a higher than average number of obese adults and older people suffering from hip fractures.

What are the objectives of the Livewell campaign?

  • Reduce levels of adult obesity
  • Reduce levels of hip fractures in the over 65s

Who is involved in the Livewell campaign?

The Livewell programme focuses upon working with our partners to inform people what’s available locally and how these initiatives can result in significant health issues.
